Hans & Belle Palembang

Few weeks ago, I visit the newly opened cakeshop called Hans & Belle with my food partners, my bro and my boyfriend. I could not stand the cuteness of the design of the store which was full of teddy bear with railway train interiors. OMG, I wish I'll have a room like that in the future. Hahaha!

Then came our food. Yum!

Mixed Chicken Rice - Rp. 42,000

Basically, the food was just a simple rice with fried egg and fried chicken. However, the 'teddy' rice that made it cuter than the other. The taste was just so so though. Luckily, they had pretty good chili to accompany the dish.

Hans & Belle Burger - Rp. 45,000

The burger itself was OK. They used ground beef which was still juicy. But, the fried wedges was NO NO. No taste, no crispy!

Oxtail Soup with Rice - Rp. 68,000

The oxtail soup was not bad. The beef tail was quite tender. The seasoning was good. Quite big portion too.

Night Owl - Rp. 25,500

We can't leave Hans & Belle without trying their cake, right? Well, we decided to try the night owl cake. It was a simple chocolate cake topped with oreo cookies. It has perfect combination and balance of sweetness. Yummmm.

Green Tea - Rp. 20,000

The service of the restaurant was good. Friendly staff and quick service. The food was not bad. The price was quite expensive though. The real downside was the availability of the seat. They had only 6 tables inside the restaurant. Well, they had outside seat also. But who wanna sit outside where they had super cute interior inside the restaurant? Hihihi.

Taksam Cafetaria

What is the best place to eat when each one of us wants to eat different kinds of food? It's foodcourt! Or, we, as Indonesian, called it "Pujasera". Yes, the new pujasera started to serve us last week in Taksam road. Using the name of the road, they called the place as Taksam Cafetaria. It was located exactly beside the Singapore International School in Palembang.

Since I came there on the first day of the opening, the counter was not fully occupied. After walking around the counter, we ordered our own food, then paid in the cashier, and waited for our food to be sent to our table.

Nasi Bakar Teri Medan - Rp. 21,000

Nasi Bakar Ayam Kampung - Rp. 29,000

My brother and my dad went for Nasi Bakar for their dinner. It had the smoke flavor infused in the rice to make it more aromatic and delicious.

Nasi Ayam Kalasan - Rp. 45,000

Beside, me and my mom went for the famous 'Puspa Sari' Ayam Kalasan in town. The flavor and the spices of the chicken was the best. However, it was a bit pricey, right? :p

Yong Too Fu - Rp. 20,000

The yong too fu consisted of two wontons, two meatballs and two tofu. The soup itself was delicious!

Pempek - Rp. 3,500
Pempek Tahu - Rp. 4,500
Otak-otak - Rp. 5,000

We ordered some pempek for us to be shared. Well, we were really really from Palembang! Always eat pempek everyday. HAHA!

Golden Abalone Restaurant @The Arista Hotel

WELCOME 2015!

Heading to the new year, me and my family were having family dinner at Golden Abalone Restaurant in Arista Hotel. We booked one table for eleven of us for the night. Though there was no new year eve party, the restaurant was full booked on that night. 

Well, here is my family!

I even could not pick one favorite from everything. OK, Arista Hotel was never disappointed us, really. I can say, they had the best Chinese food restaurant in Palembang. Everything was cooked perfectly with perfect seasoning too. Moreover, no need to doubt about the quality of the food. They used the best ingredients as we could taste the freshness of the food they served. They charged Rp. 4,300,000 nett for one table.

Cheesecake

Oh right, the end of the year means my Mom and Dad wedding anniversary. Yay! In 2014, they celebrated their silver wedding anniversary. Thus, I asked the waiter to prepare some cake for them and it turned out really well. Good presentation and good taste of course!

We really really wished them the best for everything and thanked them for everything they had given to us. And, don't forget to keep being lovely till the gold anniversary! Yihaa.
