After succesfully promoting their lunch package, La Vita Bella continues to improvise their menu for us to love to eat in a modern way. This time, they launched the 'Tasting Menu', which was a set of meals contained of two appetizers, one pizza, two main courses and two desserts.

The designed of the restaurant itself was still the same as my first visit here, but they changed a bit of their table clothes. They used white clothes with red napkins which were the main colours of the restaurant where we could see the red environment.

Homemade Smoked Salmon

As an opener, we were served a smoked salmon. The salmon itself was fresh and we could taste the smokiness of the salmon. However, it was too salty when I ate it alone without the sour cream since the cream turned to be bitter because of the smoke.

Mushroom Soup with Mushroom Torteloni

Next was the mushroom soup. It was soooo tasty, rich and creamy. Perfect seasoning. Umm, I want more!

4 type of Pizza

This one was the 4 kinds of pizza. For me, the one that was different was the black pepper chicken. Actually, it was unique and had a good taste if they used less black pepper, but I did not really love black pepper on top of the pizza's bread. It did not work really well for my liking whose prefer cheesy pizza.

Wagyu Beef Steak

While enjoying our pizza, food continued to come. This time was a time for the most delicious type of beef, Wagyu beef. The wagyu steak was cooked to perfection, tender and soft, melted in our mouth. When we cut the steak, there was no blood in it at all, but still pink in the middle. Everything on the plate was perfect except the sauce. They used the stock to make the brown sauce. Unfortunately, the sauce was a bit bland and too runny. It could be perfect if they added more salt and pepper to it. Hmm.

Roast Pecking Duck

The roast duck was yummm, perfectly seasoned, crispy on the skin but still juicy on the inside. The duck meat was fresh and there was no duck meat odor. My boyfriend usually did not want to eat duck since it was smelly, but this time he ate it and said it was delicious. Wow! However, the meat was still a bit tough and it did not fall off from the bones easily.

If you notice the sauce, there were two colour of the sauce. The brown one was the Chinese hoisin sauce. And the second one was the white sauce. After tasting it for a few times, we could not recognize what was that so we asked the waiter about it. She said that it was nasi lemak rice that was pured to be a sauce. In my opinion, the coconut taste was not strong enough to build the nasi lemak's flavour. So, it turned out to be just white sauce, nothing special on it.

Assorted Homemade Ice Cream

As a dessert, we got three type of ice cream which were the green tea, tape and black glutinous ice cream. The ice cream was homemade by the chef and it turned out to be creamy and healthy. My favorite was the black glutinous one. Yummm!

Chocolate Fondant

Lastly the molten chocolate cake. When it first came out to my table, I immediately impressed with the plating. What a pretty plate of the cake!! Who did not love chocolate? It was not too sweet, perfectly balanced with the vanilla ice cream. The inside of the fondant cake was a bit overcooked. Even though it was still creamy, I wished it was cooked less in the oven so it would be a oey goey runny melted chocolate.

Not to forget the little bubble on the plate, it was citrus syrup that was changed to be a solid jelly like shape using the gastronomy technique. Once we bit to it, the syrup will pop out in our mouth and create the different sensation when eating our dessert.

All the food above was included in the tasting menu set. The price of the menu was Rp. 437,000 which was worth the value since we got so many good quality food. For such a price, the food could be shared up to four person. I came in three person with my brother and my boyfriend to enjoy the tasting menu and ended up to have a fully big tummy. HAHAHA.

Additionally, we ordered some drink for us.
