Snack Counter @Palembang Icon Mall

There are more and more snack counter in one of the hittest mall in Palembang, Palembang Icon.

The first counter that opened and became the most popular all the time was the Orchard Ice Cream which is known as the one dollar ice cream. First they were opened, there would be a long long queue for this ice cream. The taste was so so, too sweet and not as good as the one in Singapore, of course.

Orchard Ice Cream - Rp. 12,000

Nowadays, bubble tea are also becoming popular. As you know, in this super hot city, this drink is so refreshing. Actually, I like the Celsi version of bubble tea, since it was not overly sweet although there was no choice of the sweetness level.

Celsi Bubble Tea - Rp. 20,000

The next counter in the Palembang Icon is the King's Bao. There are many choices of the bao's filling. The sweet one are pandan, red bean, mung bean, pandan green tea, chocolate, etc. Whereas the salty one are chicken black pepper and chicken bbq. I really love the bao itself. It was so soft and smooth. The filling was not bad.

King's Bao - Rp. 5,000

Lately, Waffelicious was really hits in Jakarta. It was the Hongkong style of waffle. Well, I did not like it actually. The taste of the flavour was artificial. This one I ordered the pandan waffle with banana for the filling. I thought they would give fresh bananas. However, I got the banana essence instead. Not recommended in my opinion.

The newest snack counter that opened in Palembang Icon Mall was the de' Coco. It was basically ice cream served with coconut and some toppings. It was also served on the coconut shell. Some of the toppings are strawberry, peanut, mochi, oreo, longan, sticky rice, etc. The price for one portion with two toppings was Rp. 20,000. There would be an additional Rp. 3,000 for each topping added.

Update:

More and more bubble tea counter has spread in Palembang's mall. The latest one in Palembang Icon was the Cup Inc. The one I tried was the green tea latte with egg jelly pudding. Usually, I prefered bubble as the topping. Too bad, it was sold out then. The milk tea was great and refreshing, not too sweet although we couldn't request the sugar level.
