Ramen street offers the Japanese style ramen with Indonesian flavor. Beside ramen, they also sell chicken noodle and rice.
Roasted Chicken Ramen - Rp. 35,000 |
This one was the roasted chicken ramen with broth soup. The roasted chicken was delicious and tender. However, the broth was way too sweet, I bet they were using much sugar in the broth. Also, the noodle was not suitable for the ramen type of noodle. It was more like a 'bakmie' noodle which was not that smooth compared to the traditional Japanese ramen noodle. The fish cake also was just so so and a bit tough.
Marin Ramen - Rp. 24,000 |
Basically, the marin-egg ramen was the standard ramen with the minced chicken and the shoyu tamago which was the soft boiled egg.
Ebi Furai Ramen - Rp. 35,000 |
The waiter also recommended the ebifurai ramen which was actually similar from the roasted chicken ramen. It was just the chicken was switched with the fried prawn. The ebi furai was not fresh at all. Moreover, it was cold and soggy when it was served to us. For this ramen, we tried using their curry soup which was being said to be a little bit spicy. However, it turned to be too sweet also for our liking, though it was not as sweet as the chicken broth soup, and it was not spicy at all.
In my opinion, the best of this ramen was the egg. It was perfectly soft-boiled and goey on the inside. Yum! But for the other, I think they need some improvements. The service of the Ramen Street was OK. But, the place was not really uncomfortable since they did not have any aircon. You know that the hot ramen broth made us suffer from the heat when there was no aircon installed. Nonetheless, Ramen Street had an affordable ramen and they also give a 5% discount if you follow or add their instagram account of BBM contact.
