Went to Palembang Indah Mall yesterday to have our brunch at the newly opened sushi place in town, Zushioda. It was located on the ground floor near Baskin Robbins where you can see a small store with red accent.

Zushioda mainly focused on the Japanese street food with cheaper price. There were not so many choices of the food on the menu. And we ordered some of them which were sushi rolls and ramen.

Chirisosu Ramen - Rp, 39,000

The ramen was so so, the chili powder was not melted together with the broth and we can taste the instant seasoning on the soup. The ramen noodle was also similar to the Indonesian instant noodle, not as smooth as ramen should be.

We also ordered some sushi rolls to be shared.

Salmon Cheezy Roll - Rp. 25,000

Tobiko Gunkan - Rp. 17,000

Inari Chukaidako - Rp. 22,000

Godzilla Roll - Rp. 22,500

Kani Cheezy Aburi - Rp. 19,500

The sushi were not fresh, you can see from the photo that the colour was pale, not bright at all. They were using the same sauce to all the sushi rolls which were the takoyaki's soy sauce, mayo and the spicy mayo. They did not provide the sushi's soy sauce and wasabi, even when we asked for it, the staffs did not really understand what we meant. Sigh! The sushi itself wasn't wrapped properly using the seaweed and the rice was too much compared to the toppings.

Overall, I did not really impress to the Zushioda Sushi Restaurant. However, this might be a choice for those who prefer the cheaper price rather than the quality. The service was OK, we did not really wait that long for our food.

  1. I was tempted to try their sushi while having a blog walking yesterday and planning to get one someday! But, thanks I found your blog! It's really helpful to know about the restaurant quality first before trying them out :)
