Once we choose our seat, the waiter give us the menu. We can easily recognised the food inside the menu because many of them had already owned small restaurants or similar like five-foot food shops, and some of them are well-known as top choices in Palembang.
Since I was craving for nutty spicy sauce, I immediately ordered gado-gado. Unlucky me, it was sold out on that night. Despite, the waiter suggested me batagor which was the nearest choice to the gado-gado.
Batagor - Rp. 20.000 |
It was OK until the second bite. Woott, it was super super spicy that made me barely can taste everything else. And, the peanut sauce was too smooth for my liking as I like it to be more chunky.
Nasi Goreng Pink - Rp. 17.500 |
Just like a normal fried rice. Not bad with some shredded chicken and egg on top of it.
Nasi Lele - Rp. 14.000 |
As you can see, the lele fish was way too small compared to the rice. The chilli sauce was really spicy also. Usually, I can eat spicy food, but this one was unreal.
Me, my brother and my boyfriend also ordered martabak HAR to be shared. It was same as the famous Martabak Has Boy in Veteran Street which sell their martabak using cart. I forgot to take the picture as we couldn't stand to eat it. The martabak tasted as good as the original one. However, the curry sauce was the downfall. It was too runny and there was almost no aroma of the curry. Huh, disappointing!
